• You hung up before the receiver got a chance to accept the call.

While there is no proper solution to checking if the recipient is ignoring you, it is possible to check if you’re blocked from the other end.

The first step is to call the contact on FaceTime and see if the ringing stops after 5-6 seconds (2-3 rings); this can be a major sign if you’re blocked.

Secondly, you can also try to message them on SIM or call them; if the message isn’t received and the call goes to voicemail, this is another sign you’re blocked.

However, it is still not the best idea to have any negative perceptions beforehand.

Network Error

FaceTime works on a stable internet connection to make calls. If you or the recipient is facing network issues, the call may be canceled due to this connectivity problem. 

It’s best to check your WiFi connection for “Limited Internet Access.” This is a common problem; you can resolve it by forgetting the wifi and reconnecting again. If that doesn’t help, you can also restart your device, which will definitely solve your connection problem.

For cellular data users, enable 4g/5g on your devices and ensure you’re getting strong signal strength.

If you have been calling since a long time and there is no positive response, it can be a good solution to check out the social handles of Apple. Well, FaceTime respects user privacy and won’t notify you if someone doesn’t want to talk to you. 

Similarly, if someone has declined your call intentionally, you will be notified “Call Canceled,” making it impossible to understand if someone has declined your call directly. 

However, there are some indirect ways we can use to understand if our FaceTime calls are being declined. These include;

1. Calling the recipient at different times of the day and seeing the response.
2. If you’re calling someone on FaceTime and the account shows online but doesn’t respond to your call, this is another sign that they are ignoring the call.
3. Finally, if you have seen the other person being active on other social media platforms but doesn’t respond to your call on FaceTime, this can be a major sign of that person declining your call.

What Does FaceTime Unavailable Mean?

If you have seen the notification of “FaceTime Unavailable” when calling someone, this means;

• The person you’re calling has a weak WiFi or Cellular Data Connection
• The Person may not be a FaceTime user or may have switched to an Android device.
